When? Where? Information? – These are questions we all ask and have been for a long time. When is Valve announcing Left 4 Dead 3?
Let’s face it, Valve has a hard time counting to 3, so to expect a Left 4 Dead 3 release date, would be like doing the same thing over and over again looking for different results.
Left 4 Dead was release November 2008, following it’s popularity, Valve release L4D2 November 2009, this was a year apart, it is now May 2012 and we have not heard much about Left 4 dead 3. Sadly, Valve also says they have no new product announcements for E3 this year. Which is not to much of a concern considering they like to keep things a secret. They only recently announced CSGO after working on it for quite some time.
Let’s take a look here – Where is Portal 3? Where is Team Fortress 3? or how about Half-Life 3? These games are so very popular they almost scream for a 3rd release? Don’t you think? I do admire the fact that Valve does take time and effort to make great games, and I do understand that development and time may be limited with such pressure to make the next release even better. So I am not to worried, and also very confident that they will bring us the goods.
UPDATE 5/21/2012: Valve Teams up with OverKill Software (Creators of PayDay: The Heist) to make possibly Left 4 Dead 3?
Looks to be a mystery project, but this has been announced on the official OverKill webpage. Are we excited? If it means L4D3, then %$@ Yeah!
“As perceptive gamers will have noticed, several hints have recently been dropped into PAYDAY The Heist, which has led to various rumors. We are excited to be able to confirm that an in-depth collaboration between OVERKILL and Valve is currently in production.
We are working on a very cool blend of PAYDAY and Left 4 Dead. I am sure it is so exciting that it will have some players check into the hospital before we are done.”
Aside from all the rumors, videos, pictures.. there is no concrete facts on if and when we will have a L4D3 release date, I can only hope, but my gut tells me yes!
So I leave you with this question, “What would you like to see in L4d3?” (please comment below)
